We made some changes to the website, we have added in a different background as it continues the house style through with the poster.We have also added in black boxes to the back of the text so the red is brighter and clearer to read.Our final trailer has also been embedded in istead of the drafts.

Poster Draft (Final draft)

Here is another draft for the poster, we think this looks effective because it looks as though it has a watery or old effect, which is suitable for the horror genre.We have decided this is the final draft of our poster.

Miss commented on both our blogs saying that we should avoid an all black background,however me and nicole think a black background is effective and looks professional it also doesnt take any attention away from the images or the blood hand print.

I have added a glow onto the black background and also to the handprint which i think makes it look more effective.I also changed the text to red which is more visible.

I added in the original image of the hand print that nicole took last night.

I think the images show clearly that the trailer is a documentary, we ned to work on the text to make it more clear and also we need to make the images look more 'old' or 'tattered' to give it more of a horror genre effect.

Update

Yesterday Nicole did a photoshoot of the fake blood as she had the blood at hers.We were doing an original image of the red bloody hand print.So we will upload this to blogger today and then integrate it into our poster and hopefully it will look as good as the other one.

Poster Changes

We have made some changes to our poster as we gained audience feedback and people said that it looked more sci fi theme than horror.I have added in pictures from our trailer and added in the slogan that is also featured in the trailer and ancillary.We thought the bloody handprint was a good idea because it connotes to horror and death which is involved a lot in our trailer.Tonight Nicole will be doing a photo shoot so the picture of the hand is original.

We have also changed the font to annie btn which it what we used in the trailer.

This is some audience feedback from the poster.We asked others in our media group and age range for feedback on the poster.I used the scanner to put it into the computer.

Website Ancillary Changes and Drafts

Today we worked on the website and made sure the text was similar to the one in the trailer to maintain the house style.I also changed the colouring and size of the text on the contact page of the website.

This is the last draft of our trailer.We changed the text so it looks more like a type writer and more professional.It also looks more documentary like which is needed for the whole genre of the trailer.

Update

Today we are editing the text for the film to make it more professional and have more of an impact, we are also changing the overlaps of the news reporters voices to make it more clear.We are using a software called motion on the macs to change the text.

Here are some ideas and planning for our website.We have been working on our website and ideas for it, as our deadline is on tuesday we are going to do some work over the weekend to make sure we are following the same house style of the website throughout also the same colourings etc.

Today we have added in the backgroiund behind the changed text,also adding static sounds in and changing some of the soundtrack.We also changed some of the font colours and sizes.

This is the second draft of our trailer.We  have decided to change the sountrack on the trailer as from audience feedback they didnt really like it.today me and  nicole are looking for a new sountrack to put with the trailer.

We have chosen to change our text due to some audience feedback.Also we have changed the name of our trailer because it didnt really fit the theme and story line of our film anymore.

You are working really well. I like some of your mes and your ideas are good. I like the start - the end becomes very repetitive. Are you providing enough for your audience? I'm not a huge fan of your font at the end. You might want to rethink this. I really like the shot where the trainers come towards the camera.

Update

We chose to add another part into the trailer which will help develop the storyline and make it more clear to the audience.We are going to have our media teacher setting a task for the students then the story will follow on from this, we are going to place this picture on the board behind her as a 'prop' for what she is talking about.

This is the first draft of the trailer Hunted.We have gained audience feedback of the trailer in previous lessons this week, so in Fridays lesson we are going to make some more changes and will be filming some more scenes on Sunday of this week.We also need to make sure our editing is up to scratch including transitions,music,captions and filters.

Today i began analysing some posters for ideas for the ancilary i used the inspiration of 9 frames software to create this but because i dont need to analyse 9 posters, i have used my own of 4 frames.Which i created on serif.

Audience Feedback On Trailer

In todays lesson we watched everyones trailers and commented on what we thought was good and what we could improve.We gained comments from people in the class, some ideas are:
-There was small dialogue so maybe include some more
-Add more shocking frames
-Think about iconography
-How can the killer have their own style
-Is the killer male or female - make more clear
-The text at the beginning can be more slow
-Add more footage
-Build up the story line more for the viewer - make it more misleading
-Good use of MES ,storyline and sound
-Story line is good
-News flash is effective
-Camera filters are good
-Clips cooperate well with each other

-Slow shots into faster ones is effective

Today i recorded the sound effect of the girl screaming for the trailer, i also took pictures of the masked killer with a knife in their hands.

Today we added in the soundtrack for the trailer. We edited it in some ways to make it unique, we also made some changes to scenes, for example: swapping some scenes around.

Over the weekend, we did some more filming of scenes to go in the trailer.We also discussed the music we would be using in the trailer and have decided that we are going to combine two of the music samples together.

Potential Music For trailer

Having a look on YouTube Me and Nicole discovered some videos that could work well as a soundtrack to our trailer.In the lesson tomorrow we are going to record us and others preferably the target audience on which one we think will work well with the trailer.

Here is some evidence of us editing on the mac.I was putting in clips from filming sessions and editing the colour and brightness of the clips to make them more in the genre of the film.

To help me on the timigs and construction of the trailer i have chosen to do a timeline on the trailer of The Conjuring.

I am still editing and filming new things.Today I am going to record the heavy breathing noises to go into the audio for the trailer, then i am going to make a timeline.

Yesterday we filmed some scenes for the trailer.
Today we are going to upload this onto the mac and begin editing.We chose to combine the sound effects soundtrack and music, with the piano sequence of music taking clips from each part.We also need to add in more sound effects of the girls ankle breaking.

Audience Feedback for Font ideas - Final idea

After gaining audience feedback from the font ideas of the trailer name, the target audience chose another text from the previous ideas, however we combined both ideas together to create this.I used publisher and paint to edit and change the pictures.As a group me and Nicole preffered the previous ideas of the final name, however we think that the target audience know best and it is for them to view anyway so we decided to use this idea as our final one.Using excel Nicole created a graph showing the results of the audience feedback.Nicole has a graph on her blog of the audience feedback.

Potential Text Choice for trailer name

This is another  idea for the name for the trailer and the text that will feature with it in the trailer and film.However we need to gain audience feedback on this seeing what our target audience think, and we will change it if so.If not this will be our final idea.

Font ideas for Trailer Name

Here are some ideas for our trailer name, I used a webstire called font space to create the different fonts.Me and Nicole both think that the top right one has the most impact as it is very big and bold and looks like its almost been written in blood, however the texts with the trees on them would relate well to the trailer and film, so we are going to gain audience feedback from this, seeing what our target audience think.

Today we are organising what we are going to do for the day of filming.Which we are planning to do on Thursday.We will be discussing what we are going to try and film and then put it together.The scenes we are hopefully choosing to film is:
-The first part where there is a wide shot of the two girls, one is filming the girl saying that they are recording myths and legends, it then goes on to a close up of the girl talking about the myths and legends.
-We can also film the headline for the newspaper coming up
-The detective/news reporter talking about the deaths of the girls
-The girl on her own in the alleyway from the cameras point of view
-The killers shoes
-The woods
